Stowe House can be exclusively yours for your special day, the State Rooms range from intimate spaces for 40, to larger spaces for up to 180 guests. Evening wedding receptions can be held for up to 200 guests, and for those looking for a larger wedding or event, our South Lawn is ideal for the perfect marquee celebration. As events are only permitted to take place during school holidays, your wedding day would be one of only a unique few that take place at Stowe each year, making it the perfect venue for those looking for a distinctive wedding celebration in Buckinghamshire.
Stowes South Lawn is perfect for those planning a larger wedding between the months of July – September and can accomodate marquees for up to 750 people.
With the house as your unique back drop and spectacular views of the Corinthian Arch and Octogan Lake, the South Lawns really are the unique marquee location you have been looking for.

Access to the House is from 10am on your event date until midnight, an extension until 1am may be applied for, at an additional fee. The House must be left empty at the end of the night ready for cleaning the following morning. The House is fully wheelchair accessible and there is one disabled toilet on the ground floor.
We have plenty of free parking onsite, located close to the House.
There is several local hotels that we can recommend, please ask for our Hotels list.
Stowe Group allows approved external caterers to work onsite, these must be chosen from our approved supplier list. At Stowe House there is a fee of £2,750+ vat which covers the hire of our kitchens and one of our chefs who will act as a supervisor. Corkage is also included up to the end of the wedding breakfast.
The National Trust Grounds at Stowe House are available for wedding photography, if you would like to hire a buggy please speak to our team about charges and booking.
Whilst we allow external suppliers to work onsite for décor and music, you must use our approved suppliers for you the following services: Catering | Marquee | Production | Fireworks
Your chosen catering company will provide the evening bar once the wedding breakfast has ended. If you would like to extend your corkage to cover the evening bar, then we will charge a £500+vat fee.
Stowe has a selection of tables and chairs that can be used, free of charge. Our chairs are royal red and gold and we have a number of trestles and round tables that can be used. Most clients choose to hire their own chairs and we can upgrade you to a chivari chair. At Winchester blue banqueting chairs can be provided and long wooden tables are provided, at Swanbourne you will need to hire in your own furniture.
Fireworks at Stowe House are permitted onsite for a facility fee of £1000+vat (this does not include the fireworks display) they must finish no later than 23.00pm and must be provided by Titanium Fireworks.
There is an additional fee of £1000+vat to have a mandap ceremony onsite due to fire safety.
